By registering myself or my child (“student”) for a STEM World camp, workshop, class, course or program (“class”), I acknowledge that I have read all Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

1. Code of Conduct

I agree that I and my student have read through, understand, and agree that we will be held to the Code of Conduct set forth below.

I understand that I and my student must act in a way that is in keeping with the Code of Conduct and that my student can be dismissed without prior warning from a program if either of our actions or attitudes seem to be disruptive or harmful to the atmosphere, participants or staff. Refunds will not be given for students dismissed for failure of the student or the parent to abide by the Code of Conduct.  STEM World strives to maintain excellent relationships with students, however, in some rare cases, STEM World may not be a compatible environment for every student.

Students and Parents/Guardians May NEVER – Engage in or threaten violence; bully, criticise, intimidate, or harass others; damage facilities or equipment; possess or be under the influence of alcohol or any illegal or un-prescribed legal drug.

Students Also May NEVER – View any inappropriate material on devices during class; steal or use without permission the property of others; use or possess weapons.

2. General Conditions of Use

Students and Parents/Guardian must use and/or occupy STEM World owned equipment solely as agreed with STEM World management and for no other purpose.

I must ensure that my student will conduct themselves whilst on STEM World premises in a responsible, proper and orderly manner and will not permit or suffer to be done in or about the premises any act, matter or thing which may injure or tend to injure STEM World, the premises or any other student.

STEM World accepts no responsibility for any injury incurred at STEM World by your student nor any subsequent cost related to that injury. STEM World takes no responsibility for the loss or damage to your student’s personal property, including money or other valuable items.

You and your student must not permit any of the equipment owned/supplied by STEM World to be removed from the facility or damaged/destroyed. You and your student must leave the facility and/or the equipment in a tidy, safe and proper condition to the reasonable satisfaction of STEM World.

STEM World’s reasonable demand is that you must pay for any damage to the facility and/or equipment or other items supplied by STEM World, which at any time may be found to be missing, damaged or damaged beyond repair or destroyed as a result of your student’s action or inaction.

3. Health and Safety

I certify that my student is in good health and able to participate in STEM World activities, and that if for any reason my child should be restricted from participating in any activity, that I have provided STEM World notification of such restrictions through the medical section associated with my student’s enrolment.

I authorise STEM World staff to attend to any health issues or injuries my student may incur while participating in STEM World activity. This includes providing basic first aid, administering authorised medications, and seeking emergency medical care for my student should they deem it necessary. I agree to be financially responsible for any medical treatment needed during the duration of the program.  I understand that I am responsible for providing the sole insurance coverage for any medical treatment my student receives and agree to release any and all records necessary for my child to receive medical treatment.

If my student needs to bring any medications to class, I agree to bring all medications in original containers that identify the name of the medication, the dosage, any side effects, and the frequency of administration. I agree that all medications, except inhalers and diabetic testing kits, will be given to and administered by STEM World staff. If my student will be bringing an Epipen, this information including an anaphylaxis plan must be provided in the health section on the Enrolment Form and will ensure that the student brings a non-expired Epipen to class. I understand that STEM World staff cannot give my student over-the-counter medication without written permission.

I agree that if my student’s medication is left at STEM World after my student’s session has ended, that STEM World has the right to dispose of any medication left and shall not be responsible for any damages or liabilities related in any way to such medication, including, but not limited to, replacement cost of the medication and any damages resulting from student’s failure to administer such medication.

4. Intellectual Property

All Course Materials provided for use throughout the course are the copyrighted works of STEM World Pty Ltd. Unless otherwise set forth, the Course Materials are provided for the sole use of the person attending classes and may not be reproduced, distributed or modified without the written permission of STEM World. All Course Materials are owned by us and are protected by worldwide copyright laws and treaty provisions.

5. Payments & Prices

We will provide written confirmation notice as soon as possible after receipt of your payment. Any orders placed by you and accepted by us will create fully enforceable obligations that will be subject to these Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to change course prices at any time. In the event of such change, confirmed payments/registrations will be honoured at the original price.

STEM World Pty. Ltd. is a registered NSW Creative Kids Provider and will only credit Creative Kids voucher rebates after approval by the NSW Government.

6. Cancellation

Cancellation by STEM World

Unless otherwise specified in writing by us, all courses shall commence on the date specified by us in the payment confirmation. We will use reasonable efforts to give notice of any cancellation of any class.

I agree that STEM World has the right to cancel a class up to 3 business days prior to the class start date. If another class is not available or the original class cannot be rescheduled, a refund will be issued for any fee paid to STEM World, but I shall not otherwise be entitled to any compensation, costs, losses or damages arising from such cancellation. I understand and agree that if STEM World is forced to close or cancel a class based on reasons beyond its control the refund will be issued via STEM World’s sole discretion.

Cancellation by Myself

I understand and agree that I am able to make changes to my student’s attendance of a class, so long as the changes are made more than 21 days (for holiday camps) or 7 days (for all other workshops) prior to the start date of the originally scheduled class. Changes or cancellations made within those time frames are entitled to a full refund, less a $50 administrative fee. For any changes made after either of those dates, for any reason, STEM World may, in its sole discretion, elect not to issue a refund. STEM World also reserves the right not to issue refunds for early withdrawal or unknown absences from a class for any reason, including sickness, behavioural dismissals, and unforeseeable events not within the control of STEM World or other acts of nature. Wherever possible, STEM World will reschedule a student into an appropriate class at a later date.

7. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

I give myself and on behalf of my student give them the right to participate in STEM World activities and programs, and agree to release STEM World Pty Ltd, its owners, facility providers and employees from liability (including claims based upon their negligence) for any and all damages or injuries to my student or damage of any personal property.

I agree to be fully responsible for any and all such damages or injuries which may result directly or indirectly from any negligent acts or activities associated with STEM World Pty Ltd, however, I understand that I am not releasing STEM World Pty Ltd its owners, partners, facility providers, and employees from gross negligence, reckless conduct or intentionally tortious conduct. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

STEM World Pty Ltd reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

These Terms and Conditions and, any applicable amendment, constitute the entire agreement between us and supersede any previous communications, representations or agreements between the parties, whether oral or written, regarding transactions hereunder. Your purchase will constitute your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
