Spark Interest in coding
Get fully immersed in this 3-Day Real Robotics Camp. Learn how to code and bring your digital ideas, games and apps to life in a fun and engaging way!
Aimed towards the next generation of aspiring robotics programmers (Ages 8+), learn how to code and engineer practical solutions to real-world problems using a variety of devices such as the Arduino, Sphero BOLT or BBC Micro:Bit platform and be empowered to become the coders of the future.
Students in this course will learn about:
- Algorithms and Variables
- Robotic Systems
- Conditions
- Bits, Bytes, and Binary
- Hardware input and output devices
- Engineering solutions
Location: Gordon Library, Gordon, NSW
Audience: Recommended 8+ Years
Ages and skill levels will be grouped together
Catering: Crackers, fruit and water will be provided, however, we ask that parents pack morning tea, lunch and a drink for their child.
Technology Requirements: We operate a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy. Students feel comfortable on their own device and can take their FREE robotics kit and new digital skills home with them. Any portable laptop (Apple or PC) with a USB port is required. Please notify STEM World if you require a laptop to borrow from us.
RSVP: Spaces are limited for our coding camp and will be allocated on a first-in first-served basis.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to pack for my child?
- any portable laptop (Apple or PC) with a USB port is and a charger
- a pencil case with coloured pencils, an eraser and a pencil sharpener
- a hat for outdoor play.
- a morning tea snack, packed lunch and drink just as you would pack for their regular school lunch.
Why do I need to bring my own device?
Your child will feel most comfortable on their own device and will be able to take what they have learned home. However, we can provide a device if you wish. Just let us know in advance!
Should my child attend all three days?
Yes. The concepts introduced will build from the previous session.
My child has never coded. Is this program suitable?
Yes! Your child will learn basic coding concepts using both online and offline activities and games. He or she will work through the program at their own pace and be involved in craft with others.
My child has attended a coding class before. Will this still be useful?
Yes! Coding concepts can be applied again and again. There will be a number of open ended activities that will extend your child and keep them feeling engaged and challenged, while making plenty of new friends!
Do you offer refunds?
See our Terms and Conditions for refund information.
Can my child attend if they are older than 13 years old?
Our program was built to specifically cater to 8+ year olds with little to moderate coding experience. If you have any questions please email us at contact@stemworld.com.au before signing up.
