The STEM + Leadership course actively teaches students the difference between being a worker and being a leader. An exclusive STEM World Program.
Students in this course learn leadership, management and communication skills to confidently articulate knowledge and innovations to others with confidence. This course inspires students to build a culture of leadership and initiative to increase their chance of success amongst their peers.
Course outline:
Throughout this course, student teams have the opportunity to actively develop a comprehensive system to help solve the STEM Pipeline Problem metaphor. Students are challenged to develop advanced solutions which engage and lead other young Australians.

Activities include:
- Mobile App development (Android or Apple) to present a STEM pathways program aimed at parents and teenagers
- Creating an online expert system to guide STEM career pathways
- Developing a marketing campaign for selected target audiences using:
- Green screen video editing technology (1-2 minute promotional video)
- Advertisements for social media, web (banner and Google Adwords) & print
- Collection of data from children, parents, professionals and educators to guide information and receive feedback
- Commercialising an idea (Entrepreneurship)

Our Staff
We design and deliver our own programs. We do not employ university students. Only qualified and expert STEM teachers deliver our programs.
All staff have a Working With Children Check and are trained to work with children. Quality education and safety is at the core of STEM World
Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to pack for my child?
- any portable laptop (Apple or PC) with a USB port is and a charger
- a pencil case with coloured pencils, an eraser and a pencil sharpener
- a morning tea snack, packed lunch and drink just as you would pack for their regular school lunch.
Why do I need to bring my own device?
Students feel familiar on their own device and can more easily continue engaging in the program well after its over. Our STEM camp is temporary and a life of learning is permanent.
Does my child need to attend all 3 days?
Yes. Throughout this program, students will rely on each other and work in groups. Maximum learning potential is only achieved through full attendance.
My child has never coded. Is this program suitable?
Coding is not mandatory in this course. All activities can be completed without knowledge in coding.
My child has attended a STEM World program before. Will this program be useful?
Yes! This program targets advanced students who wish to become leaders amongst their peers. Skills in STEM, marketing, business, innovation, teamwork and leadership are comprehensively built through application.
